Pics from GiocaPerugia 2013 Date: 11/18/2013

I spent a nice weekend at GiocaPerugia, a convention in Perugia, Italy. Sorry the lighting in these pics is not ideal -- we were in a dungeon (Fortezza Paolina) and the pics were taken with mobile phone cameras, mostly by Massimo Moscarelli who was there to test his naval battles scenario for Ferrum et Gloria 2.

The OGAM mini-tournament held on Saturday was won by 11-year old Giovanni Gasbarri with a Norse force led by Odin (on a self-built Sleipnir). This was a general test of the tournament that will take place on Nov.30th in Rome at Ludica. Much like his father Marco Gasbarri (who ranked 2nd), the little guy knows how to play and frequently fares very well in tournaments. He's a big fan of OGAM. In the pic he's holding a copy of BattleSworn that he got as a prize.

My Thoth-and-mummies Egyptian force managed to rank 4th (I normally do not play tournaments but we had an uneven number of players).

Here is a fantastic BattleSworn “abandoned mine” table built to demo the game by three Ganesha Games fans, Massimo Masini, Fabrizio Passatempi and Pietro Turri. Fabrizio is a graphic artist and worked on the cover and cards for our Zen Garden boardgame. You might remember an impressive SDS table they did a few years ago.

Italian celebrity cosplayer Giorgia Vecchini (as Black Cat from Marvel Comics) tries to snatch a copy of OGAM from my hands.

More OGAM news: we will soon have an Incas list for OGAM.
